The Chris Henderson Drawing Prize Winner announced!

Househam Henderson went to the University of Portsmouth to select the winner of The Chris Henderson Drawing Prize 2017. Israel Abam won the prize last year, with his end of year project that was based in Winchester, near one of our offices. It was great to see another a series of beautifully executed submissions by students who put in a lot of effort and time into their work. The use of hand drawings to really investigate architectural design is critical. Students demonstrated consideration, explored scale and movement as well as experimenting with representation. We are grateful to the students and also the […]

25. Origin of the Berlin office

Twenty-five years is another statistic, one of many we handle every day, but to appreciate what this means we just have to pause for a moment, look back, and consider our experiences of last quarter century. For some of our younger colleagues, this time period might be span most of their years! For a company is not very different. In the end, it is built on the work of people who have worked since its founding, and who have contributed over the years. In an international company like ours, this group of people embrace different nationalities and collaborations across between […]

To celebrate we are planning a relay ride of eye-watering distance; Winchester to Berlin. This will be cycled and supported by Househam Henderson staff and we are using the event to raise money for two great charities that support young cancer patients and their families. All money collected will […]

Selfridges Wonder Room

Househam Henderson continues their proud association with Selfridges on the installation of the stunning new suspended light feature in the Wonder Room. Completing the refit of the space and designed by Haberdashery, this tells the story of the ‘Creation of Wonder’ from raw materials and energy, through craftsmanship, to the completed article. This is reflected in the examples of fine jewellery and watches which are displayed in the new cabinets below.

Winchester Night Out for Trinity Center

On Friday a team from Winchester, after months of hard training, managed to sleep out overnight, assisted only by hot, cold but let’s face it, mainly alcoholic beverages and a ready supply of cardboard! We look set to reach a target of over £1,000 raised for Trinity Winchester, a day centre for the homeless we designed ten years ago.
